As the successor to Mr. Daihachi Oguchi, the head of the Suwa Daiko school, I have performed in various locations both domestically and internationally.
Also, Makoto Yamamoto, who is active in a wide range of fields, including the tradition and repair of taiko drums.

Based in Tokyo and diligently practicing authentic Iai-do every day,
Tamiya-ryu Iaido (Suirinkai) offers numerous casual and fun martial arts workshops.
The two reunite in "Rin to."

◆Appearing: Makoto YAMAMOTO

Born into the hereditary home of GOSUWA DA-KO, which carries on the stately kagura (sacred music and dance) of Suwa Taisha Shrine, in Okaya City, Nagano Prefecture, she began playing the taiko drum at the age of two and a half. Her grandfather was GOSUWA DA-KO Soke (Grand Master), Hatsudai KOZUCHI Hachiro, her father was GOSUWA DA-KO Rakuen-cho (Director of the Paradise), Mikio YAMAMOTO, and both her parents were taiko performers. She grew up touring domestically and internationally, and appeared as a Jin-daiko (battle drum) player in the Kadokawa film "Heaven and Earth" and the NHK historical drama "Nobunaga." She is an expert and generalist in the taiko world, engaged in activities to inherit and pass down traditional performing arts, personally crafts taiko drums, and serves as an instructor in the Tokyo metropolitan area and as a lecturer for public taiko courses. In May of this year, 2025, she graced the opening ceremony of Beijing Week at the China Pavilion as a member of a Sino-Japanese joint folk music ensemble at the Osaka-Kansai Expo. Furthermore, in September, she performed as a collaborated act of DJ x Orchestra x GOSUWA DA-KO inheritor, Makoto YAMAMOTO, as the opening act of JAPANDORAKU 2025 held at the World Heritage site, Ninomaru Palace, Nijo Castle.

Irin Kai was founded in 2021 with the aim of learning etiquette and cultivating a correct posture and a sound mind and body, focusing on the practice of Iaijutsu as a martial art.
The representative has diligently practiced Tamiya-ryu iaijutsu for many years and has appeared for several consecutive years at the "Japan-Italy Cultural Exchange" held in Sicily, Italy. They have demonstrated iaido and tea ceremony, receiving coverage from various media outlets such as local television and newspapers, and have been highly praised.
On that day, seven members will perform the "Tamiya-ryu Iaijutsu," which was renowned as a martial art patronized by the Tokugawa family, accompanied by the divine sounds of the Suwa Taiko drums.
