Suirinkai is an organization that focuses on the practice of Iaido, a traditional Japanese martial art, with a particular emphasis on Tamiya-ryu Iaijutsu, which has been designated as an intangible cultural property. Our activities aim to foster etiquette, proper posture, and a healthy mind and body.

We aim to cultivate individuals who are both "chic" and "dignified" as Japanese people, both mentally and physically, by not only practicing Iaido but also widely experiencing various Japanese cultures such as Bōshuriken, Battōjutsu, haiku, calligraphy, and ikebana. We aspire to nurture future leaders who possess both cultural refinement and martial spirit.

Our association members have been diligently practicing Tamiya-ryu iaijutsu for many years. Their techniques and spirit have been highly acclaimed both domestically and internationally. Notably, at the "Japan-Italy Cultural Exchange Meeting" held in Sicily, Italy, they performed iaido and tea ceremony for several years, receiving enthusiastic reviews and media coverage from local television stations and newspapers. Domestically, they have actively engaged in promoting traditional culture by appearing in numerous events, including ceremonial performances at Yasukuni Shrine and Kannon-mae Shrine in Gunma Prefecture, as well as various festivals organized by Machida City and Kamakura City.

Leveraging this extensive experience, Ikirinkai was officially launched in July 2021. We also received certification as a "Social Education Group" in Chuo Ward and Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo. Currently, through various programs such as "Sword Workshops," "Iaidō Experience," "Armor and Helmet Wearing Experience," and for children, "Demon Slayer Experience" and "Real Sword Cutting Practice," we are energetically continuing our activities to convey the appeal of Iaidō and Japanese culture to many people.
