Promotion and demonstration
Through training that involves confronting oneself and mastering techniques, you can hone not only your iaido movements but also a strong, flexible spirit and the heart of bushido. Aiming to earn ranks by testing your skills in the promotion examinations held every six months is a worthy goal.
Furthermore, those who have a certain level of basic proficiency have opportunities to perform at regularly held demonstration events. Some individuals find beauty in iaido demonstrations as a classical art form, practicing their performances to music rather than aiming for promotion tests.
